Just curious what people think of the name Louisa? What would you associate with this name?

Suggestions for middle names?

I find it very dated, sorry OP.

It's lovely.
Middle name - anything that's not Rose, May or Grace,

I prefer Elouisa, as that uses all the vowels.

JacquesHammer Tue 14-Jan-20 18:48:23

Utterly gorgeous.

How about elouise

madcatladyforever Tue 14-Jan-20 18:49:16

It's my name and people have said they like it my whole life so I'm not complaining

Newbie1981 Tue 14-Jan-20 18:50:25

My honest opinion is it sounds a little old. But it's still a pretty name

TabbyMumz Tue 14-Jan-20 18:50:46

I love it.

LTEMercedes Tue 14-Jan-20 18:50:53

@PlantPotting my husband doesn't like Elouise as it's very common in the UK

Elouisa and Elouise are both horrible.
Eloise, Louise and Louisa are all lovely.

KondoKonvert Tue 14-Jan-20 19:21:17

It's beautiful. Love it.

MikeUniformMike Tue 14-Jan-20 19:23:24

Elouise looks like you couldn't decide between 2 names or can't spell.

Why not suggest Loucy or Eloucy for someone who liked Lucy, while you're at it? Or Loucinda and Eloucinda?

I much prefer Louisa to Elouise. Louisa is beautiful, elegant, classy, timeless....I really like it!

It's hard thinking of a middle name....what does the surname begun with?

HarryRug Tue 14-Jan-20 19:32:45

For all those saying Elouise/a it’s more usually spelt Eloise or Eloisa.

olivehater Tue 14-Jan-20 19:34:52

I absolutely love it. It’s not too fashionable or prissy but still pretty. It was on my girls list but dh didn’t like.

MopsRUs Tue 14-Jan-20 19:43:02

I really like Louisa and think it's due a comeback.

I think a middle name which starts with a consonant would be good. A vowel would run into the 'a' at the end of Louisa.

Louisa Charlotte
Louisa Willow
Louisa Romilly
Louisa Marianne
Louisa Holly
Louisa Florence
Louisa Naomi
Louisa Jasmine
Louisa Poppy
Louisa Coraline
Louisa Mirabelle
Louisa Violet

Lovely, classic and underused.
Eloise is nice too, but please, not Elouise.

balletpanda Tue 14-Jan-20 20:03:45

Louisa is lovely smile

timetest Tue 14-Jan-20 20:04:05

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet Tue 14-Jan-20 20:05:19
