As a teacher, there's oscars everywhere
Hah we also nearly had an Oscar and ended up with an Oliver!
I think no 2 will be Oscar though
I nearly had an Oscar but went for Oliver instead.
I love it it's a lovely name.
I only know one and he doesn't get a nickname just Oscar.
We have an Oscar! Nn Ozzy (though DH is a sabbath fan!) or oz or sometimes Oscar the Grouch Siblings are Amelia and Elliott.
Ahh exciting @WineOrGin - let us know once the baby arrives and if he is indeed an Oscar xx
I have an Oscar We call him Oskie ☺️
I know a 6 year old Oscar. Known as Oz. Has a brother called Frederick (Freddie). His best friend is also called Oscar so I think it was pretty popular 6/7 years ago but less so now.
My Oscar is 2.5. I've not met any others actually! He sometimes gets called Oz these days but usually just Oscar. I love it. His sister is Isla, she's 5, to be honest I've slightly gone off the name Isla and consider it too faddy, I wouldn't use it now. But I'm really confident I'll always love the name Oscar.

Didn't associate Ozzie with Oscar!
Lovely name!
My friends son is Oscar (he's 7) and I'll be honest and say that i hated it at first as it made me think of a dog.
It has grown on me over the years though...and i'd never shorten Oscar to ozzie lol
Oscar is gorgeous! I think it was popular around 7/8 years ago but I don't know any little Oscar's.
I wouldn't give him a nickname, to me it's a name that can be purposely shortened but if you wanted to it would be ok.
Go for it!
I like Oscar. But Oscar and Charlie sound like they’ve got a NATO alphabet thing going on. Parents Juliet and Victor!
Love Oscar
I know brothers Oscar and Luca
And a oscar and maisie x
Oscar is such a lovely name
I actually don’t know any
Love it! But more importantly how do you feel about it OP?
Oscar isn't really my style, I don't hate it, but I'm not keen on the 'scar' part of the spelling. It's been very popular for a few years, but haven't heard of many recently.
Boy siblings would probably be along the lines of Noah, Toby or Jacob, or maybe Alex or Max. Actually, thinking about it it strikes me as quite a versatile name that 'goes' with lots of others. Not sure about girls' names, I've never had to name one
I know an Austin that gets called Ozzie but the Oscar I know just gets called Oscar
I think now schools have a policy of writing your name on the register as what you want to be “known as”, nicknames like Ozzie are less likely
I like Oscar used to know a lovely one teenager never called Ossie but I dont like that nickname
Love the name Oscar tho
Has a good meaning I remember divine spear
Partner said it reminded him of Sesame Street character who lived in a bin I believe but probably not relevant now!
Oscar is a lovely name. It was super popular at one point but I think it's less so now.
Only downside is that I seem to know a lot of people with pets (cats and dogs) called Oscar.
I like it, it’s on my list.
Ok, a bit overused now though.
I doubt he’s get Ozzie unless you wanted him to tbh. At a push it’d be Osc
