(76 Posts)Looking for a name for our newborn baby girl. Her sister's name is Charlotte, and need help to figure out a matching name that goes with Charlotte. Here are the names on my list. I would love to hear your opinions about them, or any suggestion or other ideas that you might have!
Evelyn
Emily
Annabelle (love it, sounds beautiful, but somewhat concerned about the recent horror movie series with the same name)
Isabelle (would be my alternative to Annabelle)
Chloe (also begins with a 'C')
Vivian/Vivien/Vivienne/Lillian
Emma
Thank you all!
Harriet. X
Charlotte and Emily, or Emma is best. I may be biased
Charlotte and Emily are sisters in The Doll’s House (as well as the Brontes).
Otherwise maybe Isabelle.
Sophie
Evelyn, Emily and Emma sound a bit ‘Jane Austen’ with Charlotte IMO. Do with that what you will
Elisabeth?
Emily from your list or Sophie.
Ophelia was the first name that came to mind before I opened your post.
Charlotte and Elizabeth
Charlotte and Victoria
Charlotte and Margaret
Annabel, Vivien or Juliet
Annabel. Different enough from Anne to avoid the Brontë thing.
Vivienne is superb!
Helena
Charlotte and Isobel (Ibby)
Charlotte and Olivia
Charlotte and Sophie
Charlotte and Rose.
Or Vivienne
From your list I like all these for Charlotte's sister: Annabel (prefer this spelling), Lilian, Emma.
Naomi
I like your list - my favourite is Emily
Emma
Charlotte and Emily just fits perfectly. Both are traditional names that never seem to date.
Makes me think of the Bronte sisters
Chloe is the only one I like from your list. What about Fern, Rosalind or Tabitha?
I have an Annabelle - that film has been out for years, never ever had an association with it and nor has she! Go for it.
My others on the list were:
Emily
Catherine
Clara
Eleanor and Charlotte
Emily
Emily!
