Not unless you are going to shorten them to Cass and Jass.

MrsNoMopp · 04/12/2019 00:53

No, not too similar.

Although when shouting and getting muddled, as invariably happens, you will shout Casper

No, but they don't sound very nice together in my opinion.

They do sound quite similar...there's a high probability of them being 'paired' as Cass and Jasp.

Mmmm, now you mention it, Cass and Jass...

Is Cassia pronounced Cash-iya or Cass-iya?

Shangrilalala · 04/12/2019 04:58

No, and Cassia in particular, is gorgeous!

Yes, Cass and Jas.

Too similar.

I think too similar too

It's another point he's made about Jasper. He's really not keen so I'm going to have to let it go...just as I did with my first and second choices Angry

Lots of 'sss' going on in both names, caSSia, JaSsssper. I do like Cassia though...but really don't like Jasper at all, sorry 🤷‍♀️

Not imposssible but too similar for me. I think you would end up with Cass and Jass.

mathanxiety · 05/12/2019 03:03

@Tillygetsit, I suggest you return to your first and second choices and ask him to compromise.

Is this a first child for him?

mathanxiety · 05/12/2019 03:03

Or do I have your H mixed up with someone else's?

Report
EmmaGrundyForPM · 05/12/2019 03:15

I think they sound similar, yes. Also there is the Cass/Jass factor.

Report
NoSauce · 05/12/2019 07:01

They’d get Jassia and Casper.

Report
Tillygetsit · 05/12/2019 22:50

This is his second child. I have 2 from a previous marriage. He's vetoed my first choice because he says he went to school with hundreds and my second because it sounds like an old man in a grey cardigan 🙄

Would he go for the Irish Lorcan, often used as a translation for Laurence? It's perfectly phonetic.
