(49 Posts)What do you think of the name Eighmy?
Pronounced Amy.
Amy is a really lovely name. I’ve no idea if Eighmy is a recognised alternative spelling of Amy or if you’ve made it up to be unusual but I think she’ll be spelling it out to literally everyone for her entire life.
Eighmy is awful, amy, Aimee perfectly fine
Why on earth wouldn't you spell it Amy (assuming you live in the UK)?
Bloody stupid.
Eighmy is absolutely awful.
It’s given me a good giggle .
Amy is a nice name, OP.
No. Amy or Aimee. Ffs!
I kept reading it is as eighTme I think because I expected the word eight there.
Hopefully this is not a one on your list.
Why? It's ridiculous.
A friend of mine spells is Eimy, which is a bit nicer I feel.
I'd be very sorry for any child who had that inflicted on them. Wtf would anyone choose an unusual spelling with twice as many letters as the standard version, especially when it doesn't even look nice?
Utterly ridiculous.
The spelling also divorces it from the meaning of the word 'beloved' (cf words like amity, amicable, amiable).
No
Why would you.?
Can I just point out I'm not considering using this name, I heard of it for the first time yesterday and was curious as to what others thought of it!
No katie price
I'd think it was pronounced Eh-my.
Really?
No. Just no
I prefer Eighmee
It's dreadful. The epitome of yoo-nique naming. Poor kid.
Bleh it actually makes me feel sick
😂 😂 😂
