I love the name but i am worried it will not be very well socially received. Have you ever met one?

HappyDinosaur Thu 21-Nov-19 16:46:04

As others have said, I think the bullying aspect is just too much.

I LOVE Zeph. I'm pretty traditional with names but really like Zephyr.

VenusClapTrap Thu 21-Nov-19 23:41:57

It’s a strong no from me.

I quite like it, haven’t come across it used as a name before. Reminds me of RHCP song.

I know a Zephyr. His parents are both very creative and cool, it works and really suits him

I love it! Great as full name or Zeph as a diminutive.

It just makes me want to roll my eyes tbh. The kind of name that's given for the benefit of the "cool", "different" parents and not the child who has to live with it. I'm not saying we all have to stick to the top 20 but there's a middle ground.

If you go with this, make sure he’s brackets Zeph on the school register. That’ll make it less embarrassing for him.

Chickoletta Mon 02-Dec-19 18:11:52

It’s a wind, not a name. I’d roll my eyes at this on a class list I’m afraid.

EmmaOvary Mon 02-Dec-19 18:21:38

I like it! A lot.

Schwitters Mon 02-Dec-19 18:26:25

I LOVE this name so much. I know a couple of Zephs but they are Zephaniah rather than Zephyr and I love both names. If you love it, go for it!

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD Mon 02-Dec-19 18:28:02

Wind or car are the two things that come to mind.

nitgel Mon 02-Dec-19 18:29:26

A car driven by old teds

Wasn’t there a band called the zephyrs?
