(58 Posts)I love the name but i am worried it will not be very well socially received. Have you ever met one?
I've met one! A younger sibling of DDs nursery friend. He must be about 3 now. I thought it was a lovely name, though he was the first I've met.
Go for it.
I like it.
I’ve read a book with a Zephyr in it, but she was female.
I quite like Zeph though.
It sounds cool.
I know somebody with a (female) horse called Zephyr so I wouldn't.... the name itself originates from the (male) Greek god of the west wind so not a female name originally....
But I do like the name!
I think its fine
Are you or your DP Greek?
Yes. he says it is not used much as a name there though
Zephyros is a slightly more used Greek name (not common though!)
The name Zephyr would cause juvenile sniggering in my family. As children we were banned from shouting out "fart alert" so in stead used to shout out "zephyr" as we found a dictionary definition of it as "a warm wind from the south".
I know a Zephyr, live it 🙂
Ugh I meant love it
Love it. Reminds me of red hot chili peppers!
My dad had a Ford Zephyr car back in the day.
Love it.
Love it!
I like it too
It’s OK, yes. Not my style but fine.
I LOVE it! I actually love it so much I’m stealing it for my future lists. And you don’t have to be Greek to use the name of a Greek god
The only Zephyr I know is the monkey in the Babar the Elephant books.
Zephaniah might be less ' out there'
A Zephyr is a little breeze. Not really appropriate for a boy! Storm maybe? Hurricane? (Hurricane Smith). Typhoon? (Ty for short).
Zephyr was God of the West Wind.
