(94 Posts)I knew a Boden. He was Polish and a lovely guy
I know a Boden. NN Bodhi. But we live in a very middle class area and it really doesn't feel like an odd name.
I thought for a minute he was called Yikes...
What's so horrible about Boden? There are plenty of much worse names out there.
Boden is not an unusual surname, so no worse than calling your child Taylor or Mackensie
I met someone once with a little Chanel and Armani (yes, really) so it could be worse.
There's a Plum on another thread.
Thought this was going to be about my niece at first. Her name is worse.
I know a boy named "Lethal”.
Boden seems pretty normal to me.
* thought for a minute he was called Yikes...*
I still would if I hadn't seen your post
There's a member of my extended family called Kia, nothing wrong with Boden.
I googled this names meaning last week was in a name thread it's German for floor!
You were conceived on the floor hence your name!
Just read a thread here today with poster who's dc is named Plum!!
I know of a couple of Beauden so Boden is at least easier to spell. Yikes is way better though. "Yikes! Your tea is ready!" "Yikes! Be careful on that swing" etc
There's an All Black called Beauden, but they pronounce it Boden. I suspect that there will be quite a few Beaudens and Bodens here in New Zealand in the next few years. It's not for me, but I've heard much worse.
I used to know a woman who thought it would be very sophisticated to name her daughter Chanel. Except the woman couldn't spell very well and the kid ended up being called Channel! Boden seems quite reasonable by comparison.
I've just finished reading This is going to hurt (Adam Kay) and one of the children he delivered (he was a gynaecologist) was called Sayton. Pronounced, yes, Satan.
Hang on a minute. He's not called Boden! It should be quite obvious that he's actually called 'Hunter'!
I knew a Boden, the weirdest thing was that the street he lived on was of the same name just a different spelling.
It's ok - heard worse.
Its actually an old celtic name
Plum Sykes? she must be in her 50s now?
@Butterfly02
Mat finish ?
Boden is a town in Northern Sweden - not far from the arctic circle - dates back to the 1500s
I saw a ridiculous name video recently including ' Sssst '.... pronounced Forest.. 4 S's and a t....
