What do you all think of Toby Jacob? To go with older brother Noah H**

Other names we like are Charlie, Jacob and Fraser.
I will not be using any longer versions of names. I dont like one name on birth certificate and using a different one. I believe the name you use should be the one on the birth certificate.

Thanks smile

I have a Tobias (Toby) and a Jakob (dh is German) I think they are great names and mine are young adults and they have stood the test of time.

I agree with you about nicknames vs full names!

MrsBertBibby Fri 15-Nov-19 19:15:31

Toby is an excellent name. Much the best of your list.

Fab name!

Angie6868 Fri 15-Nov-19 19:17:02

I like it 🙂

My son’s name is Toby - not Tobias. Needless to say, I really like it.

bluebellation Fri 15-Nov-19 19:20:12

Love it, not a name you hear much these days.

scrivette Fri 15-Nov-19 19:29:18

I like it.

Chocmallows Fri 15-Nov-19 19:42:38

Love it

Ellmau Fri 15-Nov-19 19:47:42

Very nice.

Tillygetsit Fri 15-Nov-19 23:40:45

I prefer Jacob to Toby tbh. The two Toby's I've met were both really wet so that's ruined the name for me. Its also the name of my devil's fat dachshund.

Tillygetsit Fri 15-Nov-19 23:43:00

Good God autocorrect has gone berserk! Random comma and it was meant to say dfi as in father in law not devil. Sorry.

Makesmilingyourbesthobby Fri 15-Nov-19 23:43:36

Love Toby and Jacob, Fraser and

Makesmilingyourbesthobby Fri 15-Nov-19 23:43:58

Charlie I like

MissHenty Fri 15-Nov-19 23:44:19

I love the name Toby! It goes brilliantly with Noah ❤️

Moominfan Fri 15-Nov-19 23:46:29

It's a lovely timeless name

BonBon411 Sat 16-Nov-19 00:54:19

I like Toby Jacob, but I also love Charlie!

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook Sat 16-Nov-19 01:37:29

Imo, Jacob complements Noah as a first name better as they are both biblical and similar emphasis on the same vowels being from same language roots.

Toby is a nice name, but again I don't feel 'Toby Jacob' flows so well. Imo Jacob is too strong and competes with the Toby. I think a different 2nd name, preferably one syllable so full attention is on the Toby.

Toby Finn
Toby Mark
Toby Heath
Toby Lee
Toby Sean etc etc

Really love Toby, but Jacob not so much - and not sure they hang together well.

NoSauce Sat 16-Nov-19 13:30:14

I find Toby a bit weak if I’m honest. I think Jacob goes better with Noah.

MikeUniformMike Sat 16-Nov-19 15:05:06

Great. No point in using Tobias if he is only going to be called Toby.
Good classic name. Shakespeare ...

I'd use Fraser as MN

IckleBear Sat 16-Nov-19 15:11:01

Love Toby but not with Jacob.
Toby Peter
Toby Alexander
Toby Daniel
Toby Magnus

Alsohuman Sat 16-Nov-19 15:12:31

Mine’s Toby James, the latter being my dad’s name.

olympia7 Sat 16-Nov-19 21:06:31

Hmm, its starting to sound awkward the more I say it, as the surname begins with B.....
