Just the one please and something that would work for a grown up man too.

Bunnybigears Sat 25-May-19 18:12:24

DXBMermaid Sat 25-May-19 18:12:41

I misread this as IYO being a name 🤦🏼‍♀️

Tunt Sat 25-May-19 18:13:11

Zephaniah with Zeph for short

Xaviour as in Professor X in the x-men. I think it's brilliant.

kenandbarbie Sat 25-May-19 18:18:37

I don't really rate names by how cool they are. Isn't that an oxymoron? If it's cool today by the time they're an adult it cannot be as fashions will have moved on.

Hubby is Maxwell and love his name

EyeDrops Sat 25-May-19 18:24:33

Can't believe no-one has said Balonz yet!

Guerlainista Sat 25-May-19 18:25:18

I don’t know about ‘cool’ but I’ve never used but always absolutely loved Raphael.

VimFuego101 Sat 25-May-19 18:25:38

Maverick. There's one in my DS' karate class.

Movinghouseatlast Sat 25-May-19 18:32:20

I think Ronnie is cool on Ronnie Wood, but not as a name generally. I was mulling that over last night actually!

Raffy2019 Sat 25-May-19 18:32:26

Myfoolishboatisleaning Sat 25-May-19 18:32:39

Calvin, Claude or Ivo.

BarkandCheese Sat 25-May-19 18:33:16

I’m about as far from being a software developer as possible, I don’t even get the connection grin .

My dad is a jazz fan, I remember jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt as part of the soundtrack of my childhood, and from that I’ve just always thought it was a super cool name. Nothing to do with software or Quentin Tarantino movies.

Ravingstarfish Sat 25-May-19 18:33:27

I like animal names and nature names but strangely I’ve really taken to Sebastian, Bash for short

Dollywilde Sat 25-May-19 18:34:11

Maybe I’ve led a sheltered life but from secondary school to finishing uni I never met an Alex who wasn’t fit and in a band grin

PragmaticWench Sat 25-May-19 18:34:32

Wolfgang. I once met a fascinating man at a conference called this and it stuck with me.

mrsnoname Sat 25-May-19 18:34:42

MaidenMotherCrone you're onto something with Arc smile

Tigger001 Sat 25-May-19 18:36:21

I love Valentino, it's just really cool.

Ravingstarfish Sat 25-May-19 18:36:27

PragmaticWench I met an interesting Wolfgang in a local shop a few years ago, I wonder if it’s the same one!

I have a cousin called Zeke and it really suits him - bright red hair, always on the move

BobbyBrewstersMagicTorch Sat 25-May-19 18:38:24

Knut (or Cnut if you're really brave grin)

mrsnoname Sat 25-May-19 18:38:37

I agree with you Dollywilde about the name Alex. As far as traditional names go, this one has a certain coolness factor.

Have to agree with Keir. My eldest ds name. He’s almost 22 and definitely cool!

abiirthdaycake Sat 25-May-19 18:55:24

Eyedrops I came here to say Balonz, it's my favourite name of all time! I just wish there was a decent feminine form of it, I have a couple relatives I'd love to honour whether I have a boy or a girl

Maybebaybe Sat 25-May-19 19:08:14

Zeph is pretty cool (though it auto corrected to Sean)

More mainstream would be Sebastian or Seb.

TitchyP Sat 25-May-19 19:09:24

bluerememberedhills Sat 25-May-19 19:10:34

Vincent - or Felix - or Patrick

But the best name ever for a boy IMHO is John

Well my dad goes to school with a boy called ice 🤣
You can't get much cooler than that lol

Tunt Sat 25-May-19 19:19:18

@PaulHollywoodsSexGut maybe..... one of four, lives in GG?

C0untDucku1a Sat 25-May-19 19:19:53

The coolest thing is your dad being focused on his education still

MRSSF1 Sat 25-May-19 19:21:09

Xander always strikes me as a really cool boys name. Even Alexander with Xander for a nn.

PhoenixBuchanan Sat 25-May-19 19:23:08

I love Judah. I also think Justus is very cool (yes it's a real name).

But definitely Balonz if you're looking for a traditional Surrey name!

peachgreen Sat 25-May-19 19:24:04

I really like Nate, short for Nathaniel.

I know mine through work @tunt

He does a very boring mathsy role but is a very good chap.

Honestly, that name is #2 on my boys’ names list. As I’m only having one more kid it’s unlikely to make the grade sad

PaulHollywoodsSexGut Sat 25-May-19 19:30:56

BillyAndTheSillies Sat 25-May-19 21:01:16

Etienne and Xavier

DH has vetoed both for DS2 and I'm still a bit sad about that.
