Can't choose!

Hello all! My husband and I are expecting a boy in October, and we're thinking about these names: Chester or Darren.
We love both! Thoughts?

Darren is very dated. Much prefer Chester.

Can’t say I’m keen on either to be honest but think I prefer Chester, Darren is quite 70’s and feels a bit dated but he would probably be the only one in his class so if you want a unique name go for it.

Of the two I prefer Darren because Chester doesn't work as a name for me (thanks to both the place and the character in Cars 3)

Davina McCall and Holly Whilloby (probably spelt wrong!) both have a Chester so feels a bit ‘sleb’ to me. However it is considerably better than Darren IMO which reminds me of a used car salesman

Darren is awful sorry. Makes me think of mid-70s to early-80s born tradies - always shortened to "Dazza" in Australia.

Chester is fine. Very American, but there's nothing wrong with that.

Chester is the better of the two IMO. It has a preppy American ring to it but you could make it work.
