Baby names

What are the most overused baby names you know at the moment?

Trying to decide on a name for DC2 at the moment and would like something that won't seem "dated" in so many years to come.

There's a few names I keep hearing pop up at baby groups etc that feel a bit "faddy" and "of the moment" and would like to avoid that if possible. Hoping to avoid a name that becomes the Tracey, Sharon, David or Gary etc of this generation.

I've noticed a lot of names hyphenated with Rose, (which is an absolutely beautiful name) but kind of has the shine taken off it when its so overused in various combinations.

What names make you think "oh, not another one!?"

Amelia.

Every other child around here.

Isn't it a disease?

And Ellie is another one. Ellie -Mai or Ellie -Jane.

Isla is probably the most popular baby name I have heard at baby clubs.
I'm a secondary school teacher and year 7 is currently inundated with Hollys and Henrys. Obviously a bit older but I think Henry is continuing in popularity so may be one to avoid.

Ezra - so of the moment
Eva - loads and loads of them, but people who choose it seem to think they are being original?
Alfie, Archie and Charlie - seem to be everywhere

Any girls name hyphenated is going to date a name. Some of the examples at DCs school mainly in nursery to year 2: Amelia-rose, Evie-Lyn, Alexis-Amy, Amy-may, Isla-Sue, Evie-Mae.
