Fay, Faye or Fae?

Disclaimer - I am not pregnant. Just musing on names I like for a hypothetical future daughter.

I like the above name, just wondered which spelling seems most “right”. To me, Faye does. Only met the one Faye and that was how it was spelt. However I’m aware that Fay is fairly commonly used too and more unusually Fae (suspect the latter will just result in a lifetime of ‘yes, Faye but F.a.e’).

Not Fae. Either of the others are fine

Fae is my favourite but only as a middle name, and will be my first's middle name. Faye works best as a first name in my opinion.

Faye, but I really don't like the name at all.

Fae is the collective term for ‘fairy folk’ so a ridiculous name for a child! Unless the imaginary child is two inches tall, has magical powers & lives at the bottom of the garden 🧚‍♀️!?

It's a fairy name. I'd love to have a fairy name!

I like Fae more because it means fairy folk.

I love this name. I lean more towards Faye as I just think it looks prettier.

Faye is more common, IME. I knew several Fayes when I worked in aged care, but only one Fay.

I'm not a fan of Fae.

Faye is a name, Fae means fairies (collectively)

My mum is Fay, short for Euphemia (which she hates). If we were going to use it we would use Faye because I prefer the spelling

I had Fay on my list for DD. I still regret not using it as she is very elfin and it would have suited her. Grin Not sure I like the Faye spelling as its a bit fancy looking and Fae is a bit too close to Bae imo.

Nice name. Fay. No point in adding an e at the end.
Fae is awful.
