I'll be absolutely gutted if the royal family call their baby Alice 😐😐 its the only name we agree on and I've got the ultimate fear!!

I’m calling arthur, Alfred (Freddie), Mary or Caroline

They won't use Caroline or Mary. There are other people with the names. of Monaco and Denmark.
My money is on Alice, Alexandra or Victoria for a girl. Albert for a boy.

Alice does seem quite likely... Maybe Eleanor?

Surely it doesn’t matter too much, though. It’s a classic name and already pretty popular.

I don't think Eleanor is a 'royal' name. They played safe with the 1st 2 so will probably go for a similar name.

I think they will go for something classic as that seems to be their style but not necessarily a traditional royal name.

Andrew isn't exactly a traditional royal name and he's the Queens third child.

Albert for a boy.

Doubt it. A Prince Albert is a penis piercing apparently.

I hope they go for Alexandra for a girl, nice long name after the short amd sweet names George and Charlotte.

Victoria or Albert

Report
MikeUniformMike · 22/02/2018 00:37

Oh dear. Can't think of a boy's name. Prince Edward's son is a James, Prince Harry is a Henry. David was the one who married a Divorcee.
There's already a Michael, Edward and a Philip. Arthur or Alexander perhaps but I'm not convinced. They could go for Henry and use the full name.

Maybe they are MNters and will go for Sebastian, Ptolemy or Ezra.

Or Christian nn Kit. Hmm... Cass?

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 22/02/2018 00:48

Or maybe they’ll go all Paloma and want to stick with gender neutral and call it Victoria AND Albert. Just to keep everyone guessing.

I have it on good authority they will call him Balonz.

It is the same length as Charlotte.

@Florrieboo

No they aren't in terms of syllables which is what I meant.

They have the same number of letters but say them both. Charlotte has 2 syllables and Alexandra has 4 syllables.

Even though they have the same number of letters Charlotte is a short name speech wise whereas Alexandra is one of the longest you can get with 4 syllables.

Char-lotte

Al-ex-an-dra

To illustrate the point 2 vs 4.

Mary for a girl, Frederick for a boy.

AngeloMysterioso · 22/02/2018 03:52

They’d better not go for Alexandra and make it all popular again. I’ve got it earmarked for potential future DD Grin

I love Frederick but not sure they could risk a potential King Fred? Sounds so weird, highly unlikely that his two sibs would not be on the throne I know ....

Bruce? Or Ethelbert? Norman? Erik?

Arthur could be good or David to really rock the biblical theme
