I'll be absolutely gutted if the royal family call their baby Alice 😐😐 its the only name we agree on and I've got the ultimate fear!!

Smokie song.

I’m calling arthur, Alfred (Freddie), Mary or Caroline

MikeUniformMike Wed 21-Feb-18 23:56:20

They won't use Caroline or Mary. There are other people with the names. of Monaco and Denmark.
My money is on Alice, Alexandra or Victoria for a girl. Albert for a boy.

Elfyn Wed 21-Feb-18 23:59:19

Alice does seem quite likely... Maybe Eleanor?

Surely it doesn’t matter too much, though. It’s a classic name and already pretty popular.

MikeUniformMike Thu 22-Feb-18 00:07:47

I don't think Eleanor is a 'royal' name. They played safe with the 1st 2 so will probably go for a similar name.

Rainbowqueeen Thu 22-Feb-18 00:16:27

I think they will go for something classic as that seems to be their style but not necessarily a traditional royal name.

Andrew isn't exactly a traditional royal name and he's the Queens third child.

FreeNiki Thu 22-Feb-18 00:18:18

Albert for a boy.

Doubt it. A Prince Albert is a penis piercing apparently.

I hope they go for Alexandra for a girl, nice long name after the short amd sweet names George and Charlotte.

frasier Thu 22-Feb-18 00:18:53

Victoria or Albert

MikeUniformMike Thu 22-Feb-18 00:37:59

Oh dear. Can't think of a boy's name. Prince Edward's son is a James, Prince Harry is a Henry. David was the one who married a Divorcee.
There's already a Michael, Edward and a Philip. Arthur or Alexander perhaps but I'm not convinced. They could go for Henry and use the full name.

MikeUniformMike Thu 22-Feb-18 00:44:08

Maybe they are MNters and will go for Sebastian, Ptolemy or Ezra.

MikeUniformMike Thu 22-Feb-18 00:45:34

Or Christian nn Kit. Hmm... Cass?

Judashascomeintosomemoney Thu 22-Feb-18 00:48:12

Or maybe they’ll go all Paloma and want to stick with gender neutral and call it Victoria AND Albert. Just to keep everyone guessing.

Leilaniiii Thu 22-Feb-18 00:59:10

I have it on good authority they will call him Balonz.

Elfyn Thu 22-Feb-18 01:13:34

Eleanor of Aquitaine!

Florrieboo Thu 22-Feb-18 01:20:30

This made me laugh FreeNiki

I hope they go for Alexandra for a girl, nice long name after the short amd sweet names George and Charlotte.*

It is the same length as Charlotte.

FreeNiki Thu 22-Feb-18 01:25:11

No they aren't in terms of syllables which is what I meant.

They have the same number of letters but say them both. Charlotte has 2 syllables and Alexandra has 4 syllables.

Even though they have the same number of letters Charlotte is a short name speech wise whereas Alexandra is one of the longest you can get with 4 syllables.

To illustrate the point 2 vs 4.

halfwitpicker Thu 22-Feb-18 01:29:49

Mary for a girl, Frederick for a boy.

AngeloMysterioso Thu 22-Feb-18 03:52:30

They’d better not go for Alexandra and make it all popular again. I’ve got it earmarked for potential future DD grin

MagicFajita Thu 22-Feb-18 04:10:41

Elizabeth is my bet.

lovelyjubilly Thu 22-Feb-18 04:16:09

Princess Sophia??? 😁

Movablefeast Thu 22-Feb-18 04:17:34

I love Frederick but not sure they could risk a potential King Fred? Sounds so weird, highly unlikely that his two sibs would not be on the throne I know ....

Movablefeast Thu 22-Feb-18 04:19:09

Bruce? Or Ethelbert? Norman? Erik?
