My husband and I are expecting our first baby next week, but despite narrowing our list of names down to four we are still struggling to choose. I would really appreciate your help as we are getting nowhere.
Our choices are:
Edward nn Ted
Arthur nn Art/Artie
Alfred nn Alf/Fred
Albert nn Bert

Thank you so much!

Edward. The others are nowhere near as nice.

Thank you smile

Edward. I'm biased because I have one (known as Eddie). Ted is a lovely shortening too.

Edward is my favourite too.

I have a Fred and a Bert grin

Alfred or Albert.

Thank you for all of your help..seems they are all popular. Edward out in front at the moment...

I think Edward is by far the nicest.

Don't worry though, you'll know which one is right when you meet him smile

All very nice names. I think Arthur is quite popular just now, so I'd pick Albert, and I especially like Bertie as a nn.

Edward and Albert are my favourites

BrutusMcDogface Sun 11-Feb-18 18:49:06

I think Edward, too!

rubyslippers83 Sun 11-Feb-18 19:01:08

Looks like Edward is in first place! Thank you all for taking the time to comment, this is my first post and has been really helpful.

ChocolateCrunch Sun 11-Feb-18 20:23:24

I'm voting for Alfred, as I like Alfie and Freddie as nn.

Edward by a mile.

Edward/Ted for me too.

Albert is a nice name but I can't help thinking about a Prince Albert

Arthur is lovely, I never even thought of it for a boy.
