For a boy... but just as a name in its own right rather than a nick name for Christopher?

I like it Smile

I think it’s an okay nickname but in my opinion it doesn’t stand well on its own. Seems quite weak as a full name, if you get me, but I do love a strong, unusual name, so just personal preference.

Yes that’s what I’m not sure of @kingprawn! But I don’t really like the name Christopher!

As long as your surname isn't Kat 😉

Love the name Kit. Always wanted it as a short form for Christian.

I like it a lot, but possibly influenced by a very dear friend with that name

It’s ok, but seems to be a very ‘of the moment’ name. There’s 3 in my NCT group, and a kitty.

Love it. It was on our list for ds.

Ah is that so, didn’t realise it was popular! I don’t know any other than a man in his 50s where it’s used as a nick name!

I taught a Kit. The name suited him. His mum called him Kit Kat and we had a joke about it being his chocolate!

The popularity of Game of Thrones! Is "Jon Snow" played by a not unhandsome guy called Kit?

Report
mischiefinprogress · 04/02/2018 13:49

I like it! Probably increased in popularity lately because of Kit Harrington aka Jon Snow in Game of Thrones

Like it, but not only as KIt. Needs to be short for something for me.

The Rooneys have ruined it for me.

How about Kester? Could shorten to Kit or Kes?

@winter

She said “not UNhandsome”! I had to scroll back as was so incredulous that anyone could say he wasn’t handsome Grin!

I love it but like a pp possibly influenced by knowing a Kit, who is awesome. It's short for Christopher but he never uses that.

Short for Kester perhaps (old form of Christopher)
I like Kit
