Logan for a girl

Hi, I've posted on here quite abit lately so sorry inadvance! I'm so indecisive!

So I've fallen in love with the name Logan for a girl😍😍 but I'm thinking maybe it would be best to have it double-barralled so it's clearly she's a girl!

Anyone got any ideas of double barrel for Logan?

TIA xx

Logan is great for a girl! I like Wyatt for a girl too.

I don’t think you need to double barrel personally but if you want to how about these:

Logan - May
Logan - Alice
Logan - Rose
Logan - Paige
Logan - Ellie
Logan - Leigh
Logan - Jane
Logan - Callie
Logan - Olivia
Logan - Sienna
Logan - Jade
Logan - Lucy
Logan - Isabel
Logan - Isla
Logan - Emma
Logan - Peaches
Logan - Harriet
Logan - Wren
Logan - Fearne

No

GummyGoddess · 19/01/2018 23:07

I don't think you'll find anything that flows nicely with it, most double names are both soft sounding and Logan is a rather harsh sound.

DramaAlpaca · 19/01/2018 23:08

It's a boys' name.

Double barrelling it doesn't make it feminine.

sonlypuppyfat · 19/01/2018 23:09

What you are doing here is giving a little girl a boys name. You might as well call her Cyril

Lauren1x · 19/01/2018 23:14

I think it's only the same as using Jordan, Cameron and Reese for a girl. I think Logan can be and is a unisex name. Thank you Patel, not to sure can't find anything that flows nicely

I love Logan for a girl. I don't think it needs a double barrel (personally I'm never that keen on double barrel names)

demirose87 · 19/01/2018 23:25

Hate it for a girl and a boy. I don't get people who call their kids a surname and not a particularly nice one at that.

GiveMePrivacy · 19/01/2018 23:27

It's most definitely a boy's name and, as @GummyGoddess says, sounds harsh, but of course trends change and you may start a new one. I think double - barrelling it wouldn't change the fact that it sounds odd for a girl, and would detract from the distinctive name , so if you really like it, just go for it as it is. I wouldn't personally though, as it might get tedious endlessly having conversations about how yes, she is a girl, despite having a name that's usually used for boys. But then, John Wayne's name was originally Marion Morrison, and Evelyn Waugh had a name usually used for women... thepatchworkcat · 19/01/2018 23:29

I know a girl Logan and it suits her. I like it. I don’t think double barrelling it with anything works though.

donquixotedelamancha · 19/01/2018 23:30

As with all these daft innovative names that people want to give:

It's fine. No reason it can't be a girl's name......but she will get bullied.

Not too much. It could be worse. Pray she's in the same year group as Peaches so there is a better target.

Alisvolatpropiis · 19/01/2018 23:38

I don’t think Cameron and Reese are particularly unisex.

Singular celebrities in the form of Cameron Diaz and Reese (real name Jean) Witherspoon having said names don’t make them unisex.

Logan and Jordan aren’t names I like for either sex but particularly Confused about Logan being “unisex” given how strongly linked to er...X Man Wolverwine it is.

villainousbroodmare · 19/01/2018 23:44

Imo, Logan is a boy's name, and double-barrelling it only makes it tacky.

DextroDependant · 19/01/2018 23:49

It's a boys name round here.

Queenofthedrivensnow · 19/01/2018 23:51

I think it works for a girl and it's so much better in its own then with a hyphen then a stock name

expatinscotland · 19/01/2018 23:54

It's a surname. How about Rose for a boy? It really works, eh?

HappyLollipop · 19/01/2018 23:55

I like it, I've never heard of it used on a girl before but I do know girls called Cameron and Riley which seem to suit them so I'm sure it be the same for your daughter!

stopbeingadramallama · 19/01/2018 23:58

Just because a celebrity seems to make it unisex, it doesn't mean it actual is.

Don't like Logan, especially not for a girl.

rainbowstardrops · 20/01/2018 00:01

I used to have a girly Logan at my school and I love it!
She certainly wasn’t bullied for her name as a pp said Confused

I think it’s lovely and if people don’t like it then tough. Each to their own and all that

Ginger1982 · 20/01/2018 00:02

Sorry OP, makes me think of Mike Logan from L&O. He was always called 'Logan.' I just don't think it works unless maybe you are in US where these names seem to work better.

49281730209a · 20/01/2018 00:05

I know a girl called Logan and I think it's fab! I had never heard of it as a girl's name and did assume at first that she was a boy when ds talked about her, but it really suits her.

NoqontroI · 20/01/2018 00:06

It's probably better as a girls name, but I don't like it that much. I don't know why. Not that it matters. If you love it then do it.

'It's probably better as a girls name,'

As opposed to what? A dog's name? Makes a crackin' dog's name.

squoosh · 20/01/2018 02:18

If you feel the need to hyphenate the name with a -Rose or a -May so that people know she's definitely a girl, well it's probably not the right name for your daughter.

HuskyMcClusky · 20/01/2018 02:21

It’s bad for a boy and worse for a girl.
