I'm currently pregnant and intend to call the baby Matilda if it's a girl.

We named our son Marlow.

I love Delilah and Noah. It is popular as it's ranking higher and higher, but it's so lovely I don't think it matters (Noah I mean)

Could you have an Iris Rosalie?

Rosalie Iris

Thank you. We are saddened by how popular Noah is but I don't actually know a single Noah which helps and it's the only boys name we both love.

We were hoping for a longer first name for girl to match with Matilda so probably wouldn't consider Iris as the first name.

I'm glad you have chosen Matilda. I think it's a lovely timeless name and we are often complimented on her name.

Matilda Hazel and Rosalie Heather.
I like Delilah Rose, or Harriet Wilow.

First of all, I love the name Matilda Hazel - that is gorgeous!

Noah is a lovely boys names, it may be popular in rankings but like you I've not met a boy with this name.

As for a girls name, both Rosalie and Delilah are beautiful but I think I slightly prefer Delilah Rose.

I'm not wild about either Delilah or Rosalie, Delilah because of the bible story and Rosalie just seems a bit overly cute, though it's pretty enough. I don't think either of them particularly goes with Matilda. Rose is very nice. Tabitha? Edith? Agnes? Rosalind? Rosamund?

O think Matilda and Delilah go well together.

How about something like Jemima/Josephine/Cleo/Clementine/Viola/Beatrice

Thank you so much. We picked Matilda's name as soon as I found out I was pregnant and we are still so happy with it. She is usually Tilda or Tilly unless she is being a pickle!

I like girls names to have a nickname/shortened version so she has some options. Matilda is usually Tilly or Tilda.
Rosalie would become Rose and Delilah would be Lilah.

I love Tabitha and think it sounds wonderful with Matilda but I don't like any of the nicknames that go with Tabitha. Same with Clementine.

I love Eleanor but my its my sister in law's name and I think it would cause some family issues as there are 4 sister in laws altogether lol

I also like the name Emily (Milly) but my partner thinks it is a little plain to go next to Matilda.

Names are definitely harder once you have a sibling!

I have a Mathilda. Her older sister is Alicia.

The 'name that got away' for me is Joan, my grandmother's name & one which fits nicely with the whole 'strong' vibe . I would have loved to have a Joan !

The Matildas I know have brothers Oliver and Dominic.

I love Matilda and Noah.

I also think Tabitha is fab with Matilda but saw you don't like the nicknames.

I don't like Delilah. Prefer Rose to Rosalie - think you may get spelling issues but if you would use Rose anyway....

Millicent (Milly) may match better than Emily?

Elizabeth (Libby or Lizzie)

Charlotte (Lottie)

Philippa (Pippa)

Arabella (Bella)

I like Millicent, but now my partner has pointed out that a Tilly and a Milly might be a bit much.
I really like Arabella and was really pushing for that before I fell in love with Delilah but partner doesnt like the way it sounds. Hmm

I adore Matilda but I’m afraid I’m not a fan on Delilah or Rosalie and I strongly dislike Iris. Noah is ok but incredibly popular.
I like the suggest of Harriet Willow.
I quite like Meredith, Merry as nn.

Boys names- I’ve gone off piste with these suggestions!!
Douglas
Alaister
