Estella is the front runner but would love to hear other creative ideas....

I love Estelle.

Otherwise, Alessia?

I think Essie is fine in its own right.

Why not just Essie?

I think its a nice name in itself

Estelle or Esther are both lovely.

If she wants to stay being known as Essie all her life she can, but having a 'formal' name allows her to choose between them when an adult. Sensible.

I think the traditional is Ethel (no?) if you like old-fashioned names.

Buttery. That’s exactly it for me. I don’t mind at all if my daughters stick with their nick names all their lives. It’s just I like options. I’m also painfully indecisive so I don’t wanna put all the eggs in one basket.

I thought you choose the proper name first and then the nickname comes from either that or the child itself. I haven't heard of choosing a nickname then trying to wrangle a proper name to fit!

Vanessa?

I prefer Esther myself, but Estella is nice.

Elspeth, it’s the Scottish version of Elizabeth.

Estelle. I used to work with one and she was super cool and very glamorous. Loved the name ever since.
