After scouring list after list of names and OH and I thrashing out likes and dislikes we came across the name Zayda. Not sure we can use Angelica with it but we think it sounds lovely has a nice meaning and doesn't sound too sing-songy with our DD Nancy. Too far out for a typically British surname? I tentatively really really like it.

Smacks of trying too hard tbh and frankly, however you pronounce it it's not attractive because it's "hard" sounding in the "za" and "da".

Reminds me a bit (a lot) of Lord Vader.

But hey, if you want to embrace the dark side and have a child nicknamed "Sith" then crack on.

I really don't think it fits with Nancy but if that doesn't bother you then it's nice enough. I think I prefer it spelt Zaida though

Yep, Yiddish for Grandpa. Because my mind went straight to this I couldn’t get past it as a name. It also sounds a bit like Darth Vader/Zader so there could be issues with getting teased about it.

Thank you Sugarpie and Snowman ❤. Doesn't rhyme with Vader round here I can assure you all! Yiddish for grandad?! Well that didnt crop up in our research. Hmmm. Really dislike Zeta and Zora. Will mention the grandad thing to OH and see if it fazes him. Thanks for the input.
