Classic feminine names

Looking for classic but not overused names. We already have an Elizabeth, which I loved because it is traditional but not that popular these days. Happy to go a little less traditional this time.

I like Rosie, Evie and Millie. Evie is my favourite but worried it’s a bit popular. Any other ideas along those lines?

Thanks!

Camilla or Millicent are lovely with Millie as a nickname. Please give her the option of a proper grown up name for her adult life.

Juliet.

Evies / Avas and Evas are EVERYWHERE. I don't know a lot of people with children and I know at least 8. I wanted a Georgiana ( Mr Darcy's little sister) but was vetoed.

I tend to agree on the proper adult name point (hence Elizabeth) but not sure I like the adult name versions of Millie, Evie etc. Maybe Eve.

I do like Juliet too (was on shortlist for DD1), but it really doesn’t work with our surname.

I agree about that Eve/Evie/Ava/Eva is everywhere. If you want something which is not overused, then I would steer clear of these. What about Beatrice, Julia, Eleanor, Annabelle?

Elizabeth is so much more substantial and classic than Millie or Evie. Those names are a bit fashionable and may date. I’d go for something more like Elizabeth:
Jessica
Amelia (nn Millie!)
Georgia
Catherine (nn Kitty)
Alexandra
Annabelle
Felicity
Susannah

Rose (Rosalind, Rosamund, Rosemary) is quite nice.

Emily is also a classic. Rebecca (although the one I know is a complete drip so that has ruined it for me a bit)

I will push Blythe one more time too Grin

I like traditional names which can be shortened- such as
Charlotte (Lottie)
and, oddly enough, I quite like the feminine versions of male names -
Philippa (Pippa)
Josephine (Effie)
Alexandra (Alex)
and Georgina
or this- which is very traditional, but I've not seen used - Thomasina or Thomasin (such as the name of Grace Darling's mother)

Also- Roberta (Bobbie)! - love this name!

Thanks for all the suggestions.

DD1 has Catherine as a middle name so that’s out.

I do like Georgina and Alexandra. I especially like the nickname Lexi.
Then we would have a Lizzie and a Lexi. Does that sound a bit silly?!

I don't actually know any kids called Eve/Evie. I know of many Ava/Eva's though. I really like Evie/Eve/Evelyn, really dislike Ava/Eva though haha.

Rosie is lovely too. I love Rosalie!

Variants on Thomasina could be Tamsin or Tammy.
I like Thomasina but not Tommi.
