So Ezra is a name I've previously discounted but heard it on holby city tonight and it struck a cord.

What are your thoughts on Ezra and do you know any?

It fits in with my love of biblical names but i think I previously discounted it as it seems a bit faddy , similar to Arlo

I really like it. I don't see it as faddish particularly as I know 2 adults called Ezra (well, ones an Esra) I'm sort of the opinion that all biblical names age well and don't date particularly.

I like it and if I ever had another ds (I won't) I would probably call them Ezra.

I like it too. Really nice name and uncomplicated. Grin

It sounds like an aged Victorian gardener to me, but I still haven't quite caught up with the modern fashion in names Grin

I know one, and he’s completely lovely. It suits him perfectly, he’s slightly quirky and individual.

I like it, but I'm not sure about the 'a' ending. I associate this ending with girls' names.

How strange, me and DH today just decided to put this at the top of our list (after months of thinking about names) and then I saw this thread :)

I did think it sounded like a singer-songwriter but I was thinking of George Ezra...

I also find the -a ending a little feminine

I love it and wanted it on our boys list but husband wasn't as keen. At the end of the day it should be a name you both love and bah humbug to what anyone else thinks!

I like it. I also like Asa for a boy.

As the mother of Star Wars Rebels fans I think of Ezra Bridger

I know a 4-year-old Ezra. Must admit I did an internal double-take when I first heard it, but now I'm used to it, and know him a bit, I think it's cute.

I really like it but it is super trendy at the minute - so I wonder whether it might end up being of its time

I like it and am considering it but not sure about the A ending, I prefer Ezio for the sound and meaning but it seems too foreign.

It is nice but it does seem to be everywhere at the moment. Wasn't it the fastest rising name in 2016? It does remind me of the Ezra in PLL.
