Georgia? Like it or not?

Georgia looks like it was very popular about 15 years ago from what i can gather, but what about now? Is it a classic or has it had its day and is it now outdated? Do you like it?
Thanks!

I really like it! Would be on my list if we were having a girl Smile

I know a few Georgias, all about 19 or 20 now. I've never liked the name. Georgia is an American state to me. I think Georgina is miles better.

IHeartKingThistle · 03/12/2017 10:24

It's lovely. All the ones round here are Jorja or Jeorgia though, which is not so lovely IMO!

Alwaysinmyheart · 03/12/2017 10:27

Love it!

bimbambom · 03/12/2017 10:30

Beautiful, I know a Georgia who is the loveliest girl inside and out

Lindy2 · 03/12/2017 10:32

I've always liked it. Probably more so now it's less common.

ChocolateCrunch · 03/12/2017 11:12

I like it and Georgie too

eastlondoner · 03/12/2017 11:45

I think it's a classic name. My daughter's middle name is Georgette but I wanted her to be a Georgeva. They're all old classic names. Hmm

I like it and I like Georgina too.

Hate George which is weird.

victoire1208 · 03/12/2017 12:00

Bit boring.

DiegoMadonna · 03/12/2017 12:01

I like it a lot. Only met one in my life who is about 30 now.

MikeUniformMike · 03/12/2017 12:49

Prefer Georgina, Georgie as a shortened version.
I like Georgia but detest Jorja.
2 friends have daughters called Georgina. One is Georgie and the other is Gina. Wasn't keen on the nn Gina, but she's pretty and cool and it suits her very well.

MammieBear · 03/12/2017 17:30

I do like it always think of the Ray Charles song.

ifcatscouldtalk · 03/12/2017 17:37

I love it. Really like Georgie or George as nick name too.

Movablefeast · 03/12/2017 17:55

Love Georgina, classic name.

Georgia is also nice - just prefer Georgina.

cushioncovers · 03/12/2017 17:56

I've always liked it.

17caterpillars1mouse · 03/12/2017 18:42

I really like it. I've only ever met one Georgia who would be 15 now. It's a sweet name

DramaAlpaca · 03/12/2017 18:45

It's not a classic name.

It's the name of a country & an American state.

I don't like it at all, but I do like Georgina.

MadisonAvenue · 03/12/2017 18:46

I used to like it but know a couple of Georgias (early 20s) who are full of themselves and were school bullies so it put me right off the name.

Movablefeast · 03/12/2017 19:06

Drama I don't know about the history of the country but the American state was founded in 1733 as a British colony and was named for a British king, George II. Georgia has always been a classic feminization of George.
