I love both!

But would have to say Amelie as Annie sounds more like a nickname to me.

I know you didn't ask for suggestions, but have you considered Annelie (nn Annie)?

Annie! Could use Anne/ Anna as the 'official' name.

Annie - I am a bit biased, it’s dd1’s name :-). It is a proper name not a nickname!

Annie is a diminutive/nickname to me. It'd be fine if it was Anna or Anne officially. Amelie has been done to death. Amelia?

Oh my God, these were our final two names! So weird!

We went with Annie. Such a fab name.

I like Annie. I know so many little Amelies, Annie is a refreshing change.

Annie, I think Amelie is way too popular.

Annie. I used to love Amelie, but like previous posters said - it's been done to death!

Amelie!

Annie sounds quite dated.

Amelie. Annie sounds boring and lacking in any imagination like Susan or Mary.

Er, maybe wait until

Tomorra, tomorra, I love ya, tomorra, ya only a day away

Then decide. 😃

To me Annie is a cute nickname for Anna or Annabelle. I prefer Amelie.

Annie. Love it. Amelie is very common now and also I'm a bit weird about giving foreign names if you aren't yourself from that country...assuming you aren't French if course, in which case, as you were.Smile

Annie. Although I do prefer it as a nickname.

IMO Amelie only sounds nice in a French accent.

What about Mary?

Amelie as Annie sounds like a nickname. Amelie is cute and modern sounding and elegant. It's a nice alternative to Emily also.
