Which one?smile

JollyGiraffe Sat 02-Dec-17 18:21:23

I love both!

But would have to say Amelie as Annie sounds more like a nickname to me.

I know you didn't ask for suggestions, but have you considered Annelie (nn Annie)?

Amelie

AnyaMoondial Sat 02-Dec-17 19:28:22

Annie smile

Agustarella Sat 02-Dec-17 19:29:33

Annie! Could use Anne/ Anna as the 'official' name.

Sugarpiehoneyeye Sat 02-Dec-17 19:37:57

Anna, nick name Annie.

NoelNiki Sat 02-Dec-17 19:39:35

Amelie

Annie - I am a bit biased, it’s dd1’s name :-). It is a proper name not a nickname!

BabloHoney Sat 02-Dec-17 19:49:13

Annie! Classic and beautiful x

daisypond Sat 02-Dec-17 19:53:51

Annie is a diminutive/nickname to me. It'd be fine if it was Anna or Anne officially. Amelie has been done to death. Amelia?

IHeartKingThistle Sat 02-Dec-17 19:54:00

Oh my God, these were our final two names! So weird!

We went with Annie. Such a fab name.

KatnissK Sat 02-Dec-17 19:54:24

I like Annie. I know so many little Amelies, Annie is a refreshing change.

YouThought Sat 02-Dec-17 19:55:26

Annie, I think Amelie is way too popular.

Mrsknackered Sat 02-Dec-17 19:55:33

Annie. I used to love Amelie, but like previous posters said - it's been done to death!

PaxUniversalis Sat 02-Dec-17 19:57:41

Amelie!

Annie sounds quite dated.

PricillaQueenOfTheDesert Sat 02-Dec-17 20:00:42

Amelie. Annie sounds boring and lacking in any imagination like Susan or Mary.

PricillaQueenOfTheDesert Sat 02-Dec-17 20:02:36

Er, maybe wait until

Tomorra, tomorra, I love ya, tomorra, ya only a day away

Then decide. 😃

rubberducker Sat 02-Dec-17 20:34:45

Annie. I love Amelie too but there really are loads of them around.

pipilangstrumpf Sat 02-Dec-17 20:54:46

To me Annie is a cute nickname for Anna or Annabelle. I prefer Amelie.

CPtart Sat 02-Dec-17 20:59:59

Too many Amelias by far, but Annie sound a bit wet.
Anna is lovely.

ByThePowerOfRa Sat 02-Dec-17 21:06:48

Annie

NeepNeepNeep Sat 02-Dec-17 21:09:49

Amelie. Never met one.

stormnigel Sat 02-Dec-17 23:53:23

Annie. Love it. Amelie is very common now and also I'm a bit weird about giving foreign names if you aren't yourself from that country...assuming you aren't French if course, in which case, as you were.smile

DramaAlpaca Sun 03-Dec-17 00:02:14

Annie. Although I do prefer it as a nickname.

IMO Amelie only sounds nice in a French accent.

What about Mary?
