I’m finding this quite hard which do you prefer

It would depend on how they sound with the surname as I’m quite fussy about that grin but I like Emil and Aleksander the best from your list.

Bruno is lovely. I was friends with a little Bruno when I was about 5, I've always had a soft spot for it as a name.

I love Olaf!

I also like Izaak and Emil but not as much as Olaf.

Aleksander is okay but nothing special.

Bruno is horrible.

I like all of them but if I had to choose I would pick Olaf.

Olaf blush sorry it reminds me too much of Frozen.

Bruno is cute for a child and also a strong grown up name.

Aleksander is my favourite. It sounds like a good solid, normal name but spelt a little quirkily. Would you shorten it to Alek? Alek is quite nice and rarer than Alexander.

Agree re surname

Olaf is going to be a silly snowman for a good few years yet
Bruno was our dog

Emil just not keen on

Aleksander or Izaak - they'll get used to the issues with spellings if you're in the UK but. think thryre both nice

Awwlookatmybabyspider Thu 30-Nov-17 15:21:05

Aleksander or Olaf

MikeUniformMike Thu 30-Nov-17 15:24:39

Are they all cartoon character names?

Aleksander, with the nn Sacha if you fancy giving him a nn (although it's a great name in it's own right). Dc5 (born in August) was going to be that combo but DH really wasn't keen on the long forename so it's his 2nd middle name instead.

Sugarpiehoneyeye Thu 30-Nov-17 17:06:39

Emil of Bruno.

Olivelor Thu 30-Nov-17 17:57:46

My choice would be Olaf. Its a really uncommon name and I love it.

LemonysSnicket Thu 30-Nov-17 18:00:23

Sasha is a nickname for Nicholas not Aleksander ? Isnt it ?

Cockmagic Thu 30-Nov-17 18:00:54

Olafs reminds me of frozen.

Bruno of the movie 😂

What nationality are you? I like Alexander

mrsBeverleyGoldberg Thu 30-Nov-17 18:01:08

Emil. I really dislike Olaf. It makes me think of the hunchback of Notre Dame. hmm

PinkFlamingo888 Thu 30-Nov-17 18:12:37

I like Izaak or Bruno. I want to like Olaf because of the snowman but it is a snowman... How about Sven though?

goose1964 Thu 30-Nov-17 18:15:04

Bruno out of those but would go for Aleksander if was spelt differently as he will spent all his time in the UK correcting the spelling

MegAndSprog Thu 30-Nov-17 18:16:02

Emil and Izaak

OnlyTheDepthVaries Thu 30-Nov-17 18:20:23

Absolutely definitely completely and utterly Bruno!

BikeRunSki Thu 30-Nov-17 18:23:16

I love Emil.
Not keen on Olaf, it sounds clumsy in English.

I have only ever heard of Sacha as a diminutive of Alexander/Aleksander, never Nicholas!
