On Henrietta?

I don't like it much. It's got a bit of a "snooty" ring to it for want of a better word.

I really like it. I often dislike the diminutives of names, but Hetty and Hennie are both adorable.

It really depends on the surname. You have to think it through. It does sound like ‘Henry ate a’ if you say it fast. I knew a Henrietta Mann once. Not an easy name to live with! I think there are other names out there which are far nicer.

Love it nn Hettie. It was my back up choice for DD and is now the name of her lovie

Don't like it. It was my great grandmother's name. She was apparently a tyrant, so my association with the name has compounded my dislike for it.

I’m sick of people (celebs) naming their kids weird names that are not names and I feel like we should bring back the classics!

Its a nice name. It wouldn't raise any eyebrows, there aren't lots of them, people know how to spell it.
I personally prefer Harriet or Marietta but its not my baby.

Henrietta does not sound great to me too. How about Henriella or even Hennie.

Henrietta is a lovely name. Hettie, Henry, Hennie, Etta - lots of lovely nicknames as well.

Henriella is, well, not a name.

Don't like it, clunky and a bit stodgy and quite a mouthful. Harriet is much nicer.

I really like Harriet, but a number of my friends already have little Harriet's .
I like the Etta at the end of th name, and girls name with end in ette too (like Bernadette)
Any suggestions would be most welcome :)

It really sounds like a chicken’s name. However, I think I could be basing this on my viewing of Peppa Pig where Granny Pig has chickens and one of them may or may not be named Henrietta.
