Names for twin girls

DH and I have (almost) decided on Clio and Luciana. We both really like the names, and I like that they are different (since I am not really keen on 'twinny' names).

My one worry is that we've decided that they'll only use DH's surname, which is as plain and English as you can get :) Does anyone think that not-totally-English names sound a bit weird with an English surname?

Clio Smith & Luciana Smith.
Clio Brown & Luciana Brown.

I think they're fine.

Thanks! My feeling was that it sounded OK, but I thought maybe I'd just got used to the sound of them cos I've thought about it so much!

I just hope one girl won't feel cheated, having a shorter name than the other. Easier when they are learning to write them at school though!

Lovely! Although I prefer the spelling Cleo (just because of the car) and I prefer Lucia.

Both lovely names though.

I also prefer Cleo because Clio makes me think of the 🚗, but the names certainly work together.

Lovely names, will work fine with an English surname.
But just something I have always wondered with twins of the same are, how are you going to decide which one gets which names when they are born?

Agree with others on Clio - I really like the name Cleo but Clio just makes me think of cars. I don't why it makes a difference as they sound the same!

I'm less keen on Luciana but that's just personal taste. It works well with your surname and is fine with Clio. I wouldn't be surprised if she becomes Lucy but that also works.

Pink friends with DT boys gave them their names alphabetically in the order they were born.

Both nice time but like others said, I'd use the spelling Cleo instead.

Interesting point regarding which twin is named what when born!
