Just that really, seems a bit of a mixed bag online between emme-line and emme-leen.

My cousin has this name. It's pronounced Emm-ah-leen not Emm-ee-leen

OldWitch00 Wed 25-Oct-17 07:19:32

emma line

KittyVonCatsington Wed 25-Oct-17 07:19:58

Same pronunciation as Emmeline Pankhurst, basically. (Love this name and great woman!)

FenellaMaxwellsPony Wed 25-Oct-17 07:20:10

Em-ell-line. Like Caroline, Ottoline etc.

Emma leen

Surely that's how you say Emmeline Pankhurst, she wasn't an Emma line

I loved this name but this was the problem I had with it, 50 per cent of people mispronounced

NannyR Wed 25-Oct-17 07:21:50

I've only ever heard it as emma-leen.

Have never heard it to rhyme with Caroline.

RoganJosh Wed 25-Oct-17 07:56:37

I’d think emma-leen.

Maybe Emma line if Irish.

BowlingShoes Wed 25-Oct-17 07:58:51

Emma-leen, like Emmaline Pankhurst.

I think it is pronounced Emma-lyne in America (my knowledge of this is based solely on the fact that there was a character called Emmaline in the 1980s Anne of Green Gables miniseries though!)

ChocolateCrunch Wed 25-Oct-17 08:10:58

Emma-leen, I'd say

verystressedmum Wed 25-Oct-17 08:15:39

I’d say Emma-leen
