Surname's Kai so was thinking of going with a lengthier first-name. Any thoughts/additions will be greatly appreciated!

I like all of those. You may (or your DD may) have spelling issues with Elisabeth and Madeline though as I believe Elizabeth and Madeleine are the more popular spellings. But all great - particularly with a short surname.

I really like Alexandra.

I have an Alexandra, I always call her her full name, but ALL her friends call her Alex, so heads up that it will inevitably be shortened.

Of the 3 names, Alexandra. I dislike Lexi. Alex, Ally and Sandy are all nice abbreviations.
I like Elizabeth but Elisabeth is OK too.
Don't like Madeline or Maddie.

I like them all. I prefer Elizabeth to Elisabeth. And you might get problems with pronunciation for Madeline - Mad-uh-line? Mad-uh-leen?Madeleine is more common in the UK and is pronounced differently.

Alexandra is lovely. Alexander Kai goes well too

Do you like any shortenings in particular? If you want the name to be used in its entirety I think your best bet is Elizabeth.

Alexandra is my favourite,

Alexandra is my favourite, but I also like Elisabeth (I prefer this spelling rather than the Z spelling)

Depends if you prefer Alex, Liz/Lizzy or Maddy, because they will all inevitably be shortened.

I'm an Elizabeth. I prefer this spelling because 99% of people will assume that this is how its spelt. That's the benefit of a name as classic and well-known as Elizabeth.

I like Madeleine best of your list, but, again, this spelling. Madeline I would pronounce with the ending rhyming with wine. Like the red-haired French girl from the books.

I like Alexandra too, but can't warm to Alex.

Alexandra! Lovely with the short surname

All gorgeous but I think I'd go for Elizabeth due to the numerous nn options.

Thanks for the suggestions! I grew up across the pond so Madeline was always much more prevalent. Looking into it though, the Madeleine spelling is really starting to grow on me!

We can’t quite do Elizabeth though since DP doesn’t like the letter Z 😂

I have an Alexandra, it's a fabulous name!
She's Ali to us but Alex to her friends.
The full name though is nice and satisfying and as others have said, goes well with a short surname

I'm biased, but Elisabeth is my favorite, as it's my daughter's name. I prefer the E spelling, it looks softer, plus it's the original spelling (as it comes from the Hebrew name Elisheva).

The Z version was popularized by Queen Elizabeth I, and that's how it became the prevalent one in English-speaking countries, but in most other countries the S spelling is prevalent.

I also think Elisabeth (as opposed to Elizabeth) leads to more nickname options, like Elsie, which is what we call our daughter for short. Lissy is another one you can get from Elisabeth.

Alexandra is such a beautiful name. The others aren’t bad at all, but the spellings of Elizabeth and Madeleine are much nicer.

Would have to be Madeleine for me, I really don't like Elisabeth and while I like Alexandra, Alex is a bit blah.
