My mil is Evelyn and I love the name. We all pronounce it eeve-lin but she is mainly called either eve or lin (depends on who the audience are).

But you know it has two different pronunciations so there's no point asking people on this thread how they'd say it. In real life an Evelyn will get called both eev-lin and evva-lin. So if it bugs you I'd put the name aside.

My DD is an Evelyn pronounced Eve-Lynn. She does get both pronounciations so that is defintely something to bear in mind
