Opinions on this name? I really like it myself but when i've mentioned it to people they don't seem very impressed :(

Sorry but I'd be immediately thinking Acacia Avenue...

If you and your partner like it then choose it, although it could cause a bit of ballache when people either mispronounce the name or nickname her bushy Confused

I think it's pretty.

And she could always go with Casey or Cassie if she decides she wants something more 'mainstream' when she's older.

My friend has one. It's unusual & pretty.

Don't like it. It doesn't have a nice sound, IMO.

I liked this for my DD because I love horticulture and it's a lovely plant. People did the same for me and put me off.
My boyfriend loves the ban the acacia strain too......I can't stand them.

She's still named after a plant......just not that one.

initially I thought Acadia like the region and thought well maybe okay but Acacia seems a bit of a tongue twister.

It’s a tree. Not a person.

Of course Rowan and Laurel are also trees so not sure my argument holds Grin

I like it.

It's really no different from using 'Rose'.

I've always really liked it.

It was on my list but DP vetoed (and they were boys)

I love it, it's one of my favourite names!

I met one once on an uber pool! She was fucking horrible to the driver and made a bit of a fool of herself. I also have an acacia tree at the end of my garden which we are having to get rid of as it is growing so fast! We will replace it with another tree as I feel bad getting rid of any tree even though this thing is basically a giant weed. But I digress!

So, all in all, not good associations for me.

As a name? Meh, I've heard worse.

I actually think ours is a robinia pseudoacacia (false acacia). I clearly owe acacia trees an apology .
