Thoughts? Also would you be inclined to shorten it as i don't really like Anna as a nickname?

Absolutely love it, and know one I've never heard shortened .
I think there should be an e in there somewhere, but I'm not sure where.

I love it. Prefer the Annaliese spelling though.

I once knew an Annalise who went by Anna. Its a beautiful name but if you don't like Anna you may be shooting yourself in the foot.

Lovely name - could shorten to Anna or Leeza/Liza

I prefer Annaliese. It's a lovely pretty name.

Care - your original spelling looks like it could be pronounced Analyse to the uninitiated.

I've known a couple of Annalises (various spellings) and none of them have ever had it shortened.

I know one Annalise, one Anneliese, and one Annelies.

I've always loved it and it doesn't date.

Annalie is also lovely.
I prefer the spelling Annalise

I love this name - so beautiful and doesn't date. I do prefer the Anneliese/Annelise spelling, particularly if you want to avoid the nickname Anna.

I believe that Anne Frank's first name was Annelies - so maybe that's another spelling to consider.

How are you going to pronounce it? I'd say Anna-Leez-ah.

Love Annaliese/Anneliese/Annalise. Hate Analeigh - could be said as Anally by bullies.

If you really dislike Anna though, you should avoid it altogether as she might like Anna and choose it as a nickname/be given it by friends.
