Thoughts? Also would you be inclined to shorten it as i don't really like Anna as a nickname?

Marcipex Sun 15-Oct-17 00:26:53

Absolutely love it, and know one I've never heard shortened .
I think there should be an e in there somewhere, but I'm not sure where.

Sophronia Sun 15-Oct-17 00:41:18

I love it. Prefer the Annaliese spelling though.

AnyaMoondial Sun 15-Oct-17 01:05:42

Really like it.

mathanxiety Sun 15-Oct-17 05:57:19

Like it a lot, but like Sophronia I prefer the Annaliese spelling.

Bobbiepin Sun 15-Oct-17 05:58:24

I once knew an Annalise who went by Anna. Its a beautiful name but if you don't like Anna you may be shooting yourself in the foot.

AtlanticWaves Sun 15-Oct-17 06:01:21

I knew an Annalise who was never shortened

ChocolateCrunch Sun 15-Oct-17 06:28:22

Lovely name - could shorten to Anna or Leeza/Liza

Amory Sun 15-Oct-17 06:53:42

I prefer Annaliese. It's a lovely pretty name.

Care - your original spelling looks like it could be pronounced Analyse to the uninitiated.

hollyisalovelyname Sun 15-Oct-17 07:13:50

Lovely name

SuperBeagle Sun 15-Oct-17 07:14:03

I've known a couple of Annalises (various spellings) and none of them have ever had it shortened.

I know one Annalise, one Anneliese, and one Annelies.

forestred Sun 15-Oct-17 08:43:46

yes how to spell it is also something im not sure on

PeasAndHarmony Sun 15-Oct-17 08:46:21

Gorgeous name, would have called my daughter this but I ended up having boys!

prefer the Annaliese spelling though.

Sugarpiehoneyeye Sun 15-Oct-17 08:58:40

Beautiful name, but prefer the spelling Annaliese.

BlackPepperCrab Sun 15-Oct-17 09:35:21

I like it spelt Annaliese.

forestred Sun 15-Oct-17 09:38:53

How about Anneliese?

forestred Sun 15-Oct-17 09:42:15

or Annelise? smile

Onecall Sun 15-Oct-17 09:42:57

I've always loved it and it doesn't date.

hollyisalovelyname Sun 15-Oct-17 13:15:41

Annalie is also lovely.
I prefer the spelling Annalise

Smoliver Sun 15-Oct-17 13:28:30

I love this name - so beautiful and doesn't date. I do prefer the Anneliese/Annelise spelling, particularly if you want to avoid the nickname Anna.

I believe that Anne Frank's first name was Annelies - so maybe that's another spelling to consider.

forestred Sun 15-Oct-17 13:43:57

I think im starting to prefer the spelling Anneliesesmile

daisypond Sun 15-Oct-17 13:52:39

How are you going to pronounce it? I'd say Anna-Leez-ah.

forestred Sun 15-Oct-17 13:55:18

An-ah-lees. is that right?

WyfOfBathe Sun 15-Oct-17 14:02:37

I like Annaliese best, or Anneliese.

forestred Sun 15-Oct-17 14:51:19

does anyone like Analeigh?
