Just that really? I want a lovely name but I would rather they not be one of 4 in their class as I was! DH and I both agree on these names although I think I’m swaying more towards Norah.

I know an adult Lydia and 2 year old Lydia.

Not met a Norah in real life. Makes me thing of the singer Norah.

Beautiful names.

In the official 2016 baby name stays for England and Wales, Lydia was ranked at no. 100, Norah at no. 347 and Nora at no. 283.

So I think it's unlikely that a Lydia / Norah / Nora will be meeting lots of namesakes their own age, although these things can never be guaranteed.

A couple of Noras (one baby, one teen), no Norahs with an h and 1 adult Lydia.

It's becoming an outdated cultural reference now I suppose, but I immediately think of Norah Batty from the old sitcom 'Last of the Summer Wine'. Her of the wrinkly stockings.

Norah Jones is gorgeous though.

Lydia is lovely, there are a few around but I don't think it's mega popular.

Tilapia Thu 05-Oct-17 19:59:45

Norah - none
Lydia - one (age 4)

I much prefer Lydia

MrsMoggy Thu 05-Oct-17 19:59:49

One Nora, but she's my cat!

ApocalypseNowt Thu 05-Oct-17 20:01:32

I know 2 Lydia's and have heard the name around a bit. I'm surprised it's only at 100 but you do find a lot of regional variations in 'popular' names.

Don't know any Noras.
