Art. Sorry but I don't really like any of the other.

There is an entire baby names board you know.

But, as you asked, I think they are all horrible. And really try hard. Sorry.

Joby (hobby) in Scotland is another word for poo Grin

I really like your list of names apart from Joby, Jean and Vito.

From that list I'd really struggle to pick. At a push I think I'd go for Percy. The most important thing op is what are your top 3?

Sorry - I couldn't pick even one from that list!

Thanks for the heads up sprinkle! May steer clear of Joby then don't want sniggers from my Scottish relatives. Jean is my favourite! Not sure DH is keen though. Want to get the list down to about five.

How are you going to pronounce Jean? I'd the French way - are you French? Pretentious if not and people will call him Jean like the woman's name.

If pronounced like female Jean then I'd go for the spelling Gene, short for Eugene.

Joby is a Scottish word for Poo btw.

Cross post with sprinkle Must type faster!

I'd pronounce Jean in the same way as Gene, the same was as the female name.

Art. Really cool name and the only one I like from your list.

Along similar lines: Ray, short for Raymond

Sorry, but I think they're all awful

Report
Tazerface · 04/10/2017 17:24

Then don't use Jean because it's a woman's name! You will look unhinged if someone points it out to you and you say it's Jean pronounced the English way but the spelling is the French way.

OP where on earth did you find these monstrosities names and WHY do you want to burden a child with them

Report
LovelyPrep · 04/10/2017 17:26

I literally can't pick one, let alone three. They're all terrible. If you absolutely forced me maybe Art...but still no. Don't do that to a child!

Jean as a unisex name is recognised.

I'd love you to go for Jobby

lovelyprep

I think they seem a bit out there when all together in a list, but if you imagine them in isolation none of them are particularly "out there" just charmingly unusual.

Joby, rhyming with Toby, not Jobbie! Grin
