DS arrived a week ago and still has no name! This is our shortlist but we are struggling to agree on the perfect one. Which do you prefer?

My preference is Arthur. Second place goes to Albert (love Bert as a nn). Elliott is in third place for me.

All good names though OP.

howthelightgetsin Wed 04-Oct-17 17:40:45

Oh agree with PP, Albert nn Bertie would be lovely.
I think Elliot is a marmite name. I'm in the dislike camp.

Lobsterquadrille2 Wed 04-Oct-17 17:41:06

Congratulations!

Arthur, then Albert and a very faraway third of Elliot.

Olivelor Wed 04-Oct-17 17:44:43

My preference is Arthur. Reminds me of King Arthur. smile
Albert sounds a bit blunt.

Elliot or Arthur. I'm not a fan of Albert although objectively it is a perfectly good name.

MikeUniformMike Wed 04-Oct-17 21:07:05

Dislike Albert and Albie.

OlennasWimple Wed 04-Oct-17 21:09:56

Arthur and Albert are older names: fashionable at the moment because parents are naming their DC after their grandparents

Elliott is a much more modern name (albeit with old roots), and is increasingly used as a girls name too. So a very different "type" of name IYSWIM

stopbeingadramallama Wed 04-Oct-17 21:19:32

Albert.

Don't really like Eliot.
