It means 'happy' in Yiddish. It's pretty, I think.

But your first thought would be...?

That it's Robin William's daughters name (I think). Or that you were a fan of the game.

I like it but I do think of the game.

I think wife of Scott Fitzgerald as my first thought. Warrior Princess for me is Xena. Never heard of the game.

I'm a massive fan of Nintendo and really like the name. Not sure I'd be brave enough to use it though.

First thought would be Zelda Fitzgerald, and associations would therefore be literature, jazz age and mentally unstable...

It's a beautiful name- I think of F Scott Fitzgerald too. My only slight reservation would be that I think there's a Hollywood movie just out or due soon about Zelda Fitzgerald, which may mean it's about to enjoy an upswing in popularity.

I like it. Was vetoed. It's Fitzgerald's wife for me too.

Kick-ass superhero! I'm not sure why..maybe it's the warrior princess connotation ...

I like it. I have a work colleague called Zelda and she is a lovely person, and stunningly pretty. My husband also likes the name because he's a massive fan of the Legend of Zelda games. He wanted to name our daughter Zelda but I vetoed it because it doesn't work with our surname. Otherwise we would have used it!

Legend of

I love those games. Probably wouldn't use it on a DC though. It's in the same league as Mario and Luigi for me, I'm afraid.

Legend of here too I'm afraid.

It's a shame because it's a seriously cool name!
