Baby names

Freddie or Dylan?

I love Freddie (we would put Frederick on the birth cert) but my DH is not so sure. He likes Dylan, which I kind of like, but I feel like Freddie is better! Which would you choose? Middle name will be Stephen, after my Dad.

Actually come to think of it, my DH's choice wouldn't sound quite right with the middle name, would it? Dylannnnnn Stephennnnn Confused

I don't think Dylan Stephen would work. Freddie Stephen sounds better

I fear Freddie has become very popular - I only personally know 2 baby boys born in the past year and they're both called Freddie.

I work in schools, most Dylans are naughty.

Dylan by a long way.

I don't like it so much with the middle name Stephen, but they're so rarely actually said together.

Of the two, Freddie but I really don't like Dylan.

Freddie. It just rhymes so well ..cue endless parental amusement at Freddie teddie beddie (my 10yo Freddie not quite as amused anymore..) but, honestly, it's a great name. Also means King (German origin)

Dylan is a lovely name and you don't normally say the first/middle names together. Freddie is nice for a toddler but not sure how well it suits an adult.

I love Freddie nn.Frederick and it would've been no.4s name if she had been a boy.

Not keen on Dylan...

I prefer Dylan, but perhaps a different middle name (they aren't terrible together though).

I love Dylan - but then I love Dylan Thomas and Bob Dylan.

Dislike Freddie. It's too cheeky chappie, and sounds like a Boden mummy's DC name.
