Baby names

Isaac or Henry?

I think we're down to these two names. We don't love either of them but they seem to be the only names we both (sort of) like!

DP likes Zachary - I don't, I love James (we can't use it) or Harvey (DP doesn't like it)

So, what do you all think? also, what about middle names for these?

I’d worry about the I suck teasing potential with Isaac.

So Henry for me.

These two are on my favourites list. I slightly prefer Isaac but both are great.

Isaac - it's biblical meaning is "he will laugh", which I think is lovely.

I have an Isaac and he gets so many compliments on it!

Both great names, which goes best with your surname? I prefer Henry it's what my DD would be if she had been a boy! What about James for a middle name?

I have a Henry, it is literally the only boys name that I love. Only heard good things about it and it won't date. His middle name is Joseph, although I wish I had gone with james now for a middle name.

Isaac - it's only on mn that I ever heard the I suck thing. It's not even pronounced like that!
It can be shortened to zac so a bonus if your dp like Zachary.
My Isaac has had some lovely compliments on his name and he's the only one in his school.
Funnily enough Henry was also on my list!

Henry.

But are you sure you couldn't come round to Zachary? My husband couldn't, but I think it's a brilliant name!

I have a 4 month old Isaac. It wasn't my first choice but the only name we agreed on. He was a tiny premature 3lb baby and the name did seem too grown up for him initially but it's definitely grown on me and I love it now

I'm only joking,
I actually love both names and TOTALLY love Zachary or Zak to shorten Isaac like somebody before me said. TBH I'm on the fence but congratulations!!!! Flowers xx

I have an Isaac. We liked the meaning - he who laughs - which suits him perfectly. I've never heard the 'i suck' thing either. Loads of people spell it wrongly as 'Issac' though.
