For boy or girl? Thoughts? Chavvy?

A bit 90s American. Makes me think of Taylor Swift.

No.

For neither. Awful, sorry op.

Have always liked it for a girl/woman/boy. Bit feminine for a man.

How about Piper? Same issues?

Yep chavvy sorry.

It's a surname. Was mine and I hated it as it was pronounced Tayler with the emphasis on er , locally.

For a girl I think it's very American, and as much as I hate calling a name Chavvy yes for me for a boy it would come under it

A fairly close relative of mine has a child called Piper. A girl. The lead actress from the film Coyote Ugly is called Piper in real life. I quite like it.

I really don't like Taylor, for a boy or a girl.

I don't like but that's because the only 2 I know are shits...

I'm not a subscriber of the "chavvy" name theory though. I know scruffy buggers from all walks of like whether they be Sebastian or Kallum makes no odds.

This baby naming malarkey is a lot harder than i thought it would be! Other choices are include Jack or Milo for a boy - also love Robyn for a girl?

Jack is dull and Milo doesn't age well. I'd be inclined to go for Miles and just nickname him Milo when little.

Why not Robin for a boy?

It's a bogan name where I am (similar to chavvy). I know a few around the same age as me, and most of them spell it Tayla.

I don't mind Taylor at all on a girl, not keen on a boy though. It is a bit surnamey but I vastly prefer it to Matilda, Evie etc. I have taught a couple of Taylors who were wonderful kids (whereas the ones mentioned above...well let's just say it's turned me off those names!).

I also like Piper. Hate Robyn, sorry - always think it's a bit wet sounding.

I like Jack but not loving Milo. There are many kids called Jack though if that bothers you!

Jack is really popular and it sounds like you like more unusual names. I like Gabriel for boy and Saskia for a girl but DP didn't ☹ I do like Robyn for a girl.

Milo's great, Jack is too ubiquitous, Taylor is very chavvy.

Report
TatianaLarina · 20/09/2017 22:38

I like Piper.

I like Jack but not the rest.

Piper is cute, Taylor has been and done.

You've got it with Jack or Robyn - both lovely! Smile
