It's very American sounding to me, probably short for Clayton.

No, I don't like it.

I wouldn't ever call my child it but I do sort of like it.

13 Reasons Why is the show I assume. It's quite a good name not too unusual but easy enough to spell. Smile

Is it sons of anarchy he's watching? Clay is one of the main characters in that?

Not a fan to be honest. It is very American but I also think a fairly harsh sounding name.

Is it short for Clayton?

I don't like it. Clay pots, clay pigeons shooting, clay soil.

It would be a no from me, I'm afraid.

Is she watching 13 reasons why? If so how old is she?

Yes it's 13 reasons why, I remember her saying. I don't think it is short for anything on there.

She's 14, why?

Ps feet of clay means fundamental character flaw. I wouldn't want that association

If you happen to expecting twins you can always name the other one Turf (for a boy) or Bone-China (for a girl) ... Grin

The aptly named Clay Jones was the lovely presenter of Gardeners' Question Time many years ago.

Would suggest watching 13 reasons why with any young person, I watched it at 33 and wouldn't want my daughter watching it without being able to discuss it with her afterwards.

I quite like Clay. I might assume it was short for something but nothing else.

I'm not sure I'd let a 14 year old watch 13 Reasons Why without having watched it / watching it with them though. Some rather disturbing themes and scenes in it.

I knew a very handsome Clay growing up - not sure it was short for anything.

It makes me think of Wayne Rooney, as one of his sons is called Klay.
