Sloane
(46 Posts)I like the sound and feel of Sloane.
Obviously, I don't like the Sloane Ranger association, which kills the whole name for me.
What names can you think of have the same feel to them?
Chelsea
Sorry OP, you did ask
Seriously though, for a girl or boy?
Naff!
I know of one, an American, female.
Not good. What do you mean by same feel? A surname-type name, or something like Chelsea, as already suggested?
Nope don't like it
Nah. It's a joke and in my esteemed opinion
Girl, although I have no intentions of using it at all. I don't like it either (because of the association) so I'm using it as a jumping off point
The same feel as in, short and simple without any frills. Can't be shortened. Sort of unisex without being a boy's name
Names with similar sounds:
Joan
Mona
Rowan
Rhona
Brodie
Taylor
Smith
Hans Sloane?
It makes no sense to call a kid this surname.
I'm not calling anyone Sloane
I quite like Mona but it's still not right
Sloane from Ferris Bueller was cool.
I like Afton. Or Blythe.
Fiona?
Piper
Reese
I don't particularly like Blythe, but that is the sort of thing I'm looking for
Bronagh (Irish name rhymes with mona). I had a lovely and very beautifully friend called this at school so has good associations.

Arden
Honor
