Do you like it? It's my grandmother's maiden name, so it made me think of it and figured it would be a nice boys name.

I know a very nice American academic called Cole. Great name, and with the family connection as well, why not?

Lemonnaise · 23/06/2017 19:24

Yes I like it, lovely name.

monkeywithacowface · 23/06/2017 19:24

I like it. I know a Cole and he's a lovely lad!

wowbutter · 23/06/2017 19:28

All the ones I know are awful. It's really out me off the name, it makes me think of horrible behaviours.

Eolian · 23/06/2017 19:29

There are at least 3 Coles at my local secondary school. The two I've met are quite naughty but I still quite like the name!

Bert2e · 23/06/2017 19:40

Nope :-(

MineKraftCheese · 23/06/2017 19:51

Cole Sprouse is a lovely boy.

Lemondrop99 · 23/06/2017 20:00

I like Cole. I'd probably use it as a shortening for Nicholas

ColourfulOrangex · 23/06/2017 21:04

Love it although maybe a bit bias as it's part of my sons name Grin

JellyBert · 23/06/2017 21:06

I love it as my favourite program used to be Charmed!!

MusicToMyEars800 · 23/06/2017 21:09

I love it as my favourite program used to be Charmed!!

mathanxiety · 24/06/2017 07:52

I like it a lot.

blahthisistoohard · 24/06/2017 08:32

I can't believe this name is 180 in the name rankings for the UK in 2015. Sorry, it's lovely to honour your Grandmother but I find it really tacky

17caterpillars1mouse · 24/06/2017 14:40

I like it and also a Cole from charmed one. I've never met a Cole though used to know Kohl (He's be in his 20s now)

I like it as a nn for Nicholas rather than as a fullname

Notmyrealname85 · 24/06/2017 14:51

As long as your surname isn't Gate :P great name!

Mycarsmellsoflavender · 24/06/2017 16:06

I've known 2 Coles and they've both been quite naughty and disruptive...

Epipgab · 24/06/2017 18:27

I think it's a really nice name. Reminds me of the musician Cole Porter. (and TBH, Old King Cole, but not as much!)

DramaAlpaca · 24/06/2017 23:12

It's not my style at all. No, I don't like it.

Unadon · 25/06/2017 02:33

I'm not a fan, sorry.

SaltySalt · 25/06/2017 02:36

Love it!

SuperBeagle · 25/06/2017 06:14

It just makes me think of coal.

Not a fan.

lolalotta · 25/06/2017 06:39

It sounds very American to me.

I love the name Cole!
I just had my 3rd baby a girl but if I had a boy he would have been named Cole.

LorLorr2 · 05/09/2017 01:44

It reminds me of Cole Sprouse who is ratherrr handsome. But I do think it works better in America than here for some reason, it just sounds better coming from them maybe.
One positive is that he probably would be the only Cole that he knows! :)

IHaveBrilloHair · 05/09/2017 01:55

Old King?
Not for me I'm afraid, but if you love it, go for it.
