Not keen, but I'm sure I'm in the minority.

I like Eloise but why not just name her Elle if that is what you want to call her?

I'm less keen on Elle but purely because it is so similar to Ella & Ellie and there seem to be masses of both born in the past 15 years or so

Lovely!

Lovely! I probably wouldn't shorten it at all. It doesnt need shortening and Eloise is so much prettier than Elle.

Eloise is lovely but doesn't need shortening.

Also in the minority I don't really like it.
I do like Heloise though.

I think Eloise is OK but I really dislike Elle/Ellie/Ella as a nn

Eloise is lovely but I dislike Elle. Why shorten it?

Love Eloise, dislike Elle

Elle means 'she' in French. And in German its pronounced Ell-eh and is a unit of measurement. Eloise on the other hand, is a beautiful name!
