Katie Rose.

Both are lovely but DS was going to be Katie Rose if he was a girl so I'm a bit biased.

Congratulations on your lovely DD.

My dd is called Lucy and is 6 and is adamant that she wants to be called Rosie, she absolutely loves it! So I'm going to say not Katie.
That doesn't help you at all I know but it made me smile as my dd just adores the name and it's so pretty, there are plenty of Katie's at school but no Rose/Rosie's.

I think they are both lovely.

Do they both flow with your surname? I love so many names ending in s sounds, but they mingle with my surname and are awkward to pronounce. The middle name won't be used too frequently, so you're mainly going to be hearing the first name and surname used together.

I like both. Reminds me of the doll Rosie Primrose from My naughty little sister books.

I think it flows better. Lots of Rosie's round here too..

I prefer the sound of Katie Rose, but I prefer the name Rosie, so if it were me I'd have to go for Rosie Kate as I'd be saying Rosie or Rosie surname far more.

Congratulations on your DD!

I like Katie Rose best but I have a Katie so I might be biased

Katie Rose does flow better however you would not be calling her that all the time so I'd pick the first name you like best.

Katie Rose is beautiful, prefer Rosie as a first name but Katie Rose definetely flows better

Report
prettygirlincrimsonrose · 28/05/2017 13:49

Katie Rose sounds better, but Rosie is a lovely first name, could work with Katherine as a middle name

Love Katie Rose.

One of the nicest people I know is called Katie, and Rose is timelessly beautiful.

Katie Rose

Rosie as a standalone name for an adult is a bit twee.
