Help! Traditional names

Baby is due in just over 3 weeks, & we can't decide on a name, we're really struggling!

We like traditional names, but not common ones, & we don't know if it's a girl or boy, so the ones we've thought of that we like are

Beatrix, (hate Beatrice, which is quite common here)
Isabella (common here though)
Delilah

Boys;
Henry (very common here though)
Austin,
Freddie (again common here)

Anyone have any other suggestions, please?

Beatrix, -LOVE this name, but if you hate Beatrice, maybe avoid this name, as a lot of people would probably mishear and call her Beatrice.

Isabella - Yeah, very nice but too common.

Delilah - Nice name, and rare. However I think many associate it strongly with the Tom Jones song.

Boys;
Henry -it is very common, but omg it's a lovely name. Also Harry is similar and fantastic also.

Austin - YES! Not too common, but totally useable and is a strong name. I also like Alex (Alexander) which I feel is a similar name.

Freddie - only if it was short for Frederick.

our favourites are Beatrix & loved trixie as a nn, but then I heard trixie is a common dogs name & Delilah, but was worried about the Tom Jones song association & Austin, but didn't know if it sounded too 'American'? (That's not meant to be insulting to anyone)

Sorry to sound ignorant but what's the difference between Beatrix and Beatrice?

Isabella isn't just popular on here- it's ranked 8th nationally.

Delilah, lovely name and wouldn't think it matters even if you did associate with the Tom Jones song. In any case I think this generation are more like to think of the 'Hey there Delilah' song...and your babies generation probably neither!

Beatrix is said bee a trix but Beatrice is said bee a tris.

I also like Violet, Eugenie, Imogen and Juliette for old fashioned names.

Henry is incredibly popular these days, and I've yet to meet one that isn't quite naughty. (Admittedly warped by working in a primary school.)

Austin isn't really a traditional name.

Freddie is nice enough, but would hope it would be short for a more formal version of Fred.

Prefer Isobel but Isabella is nice too

I personally don't like Delilah because of the song

Henry is getting very popular

Austin is way too American for me because of Austin TX

Freddie is nice as a nickname for Frederick/Wilfred/Alfred etc .

Austin is an old man name in Ireland. It's funny to see it now as a trendy American name.

Austin is a contraction of Augustine, so is certainly traditional if fairly unusual.

I think Trixie is a lovely nn. It did used to be quite popular as a dog name, but I haven't met a canine Trixie for years! The fashion is to give dogs more common people names. Where I live, all the dogs seem to be called Poppy, Tilly, Molly, Daisy, Millie.

Personally, I would go with Beatrix, nn Trixie or Trix (to me, Bea sounds very old ladyish, perhaps because of Bea Arthur from The Golden Girls). Emma Willis called her little girl Trixie. I love it.
Beatrix and Beatrice sound distictive fro each other when said properly so I wouldn't worry about mix-ups.
