Which do you prefer?

DD's school is full of girls called Amelia and Georgia. They are easily the most common girls names round here.

Eloise, by a long way. It's a beautiful name.

There are loads of Amelias around and I'm not keen on Georgia.

I actually quite like Amelia. I'm really not keen on Georgia though I'm afraid.

Rockaby Thu 25-May-17 21:24:24

Eloise by miles for me. I love it. I'm not terribly keen on the others, although they're perfectly nice.

Eloise :-)

SuperBeagle Thu 25-May-17 21:49:18

1. Eloise
2. Georgia
3. Amelia

I have an Emilia, which you might like as it sort of combines Eloise and Amelia.

Eloise, then Amelia. Not keen on Georgia myself.

BewareOfTheToddler Thu 25-May-17 23:10:19

But Eloise is really lovely!

Sophronia Thu 25-May-17 23:59:52

Not keen on any of them I'm afraid, but Georgia if I had to pick.

Joeybee Fri 26-May-17 00:25:52

Amelia for sure. Such a lovely, strong, pretty name. Georgia sounds dated to me. Eloise sounds more like a middle name, also if I was picking the name of a bitchy character in a book i'd go for just sounds bitchy!

Haha @Joeybee I do see what you mean! I'd choose Amelia

Three lovely names...but Eloise is my favourite. It has been on my list for dd1 and dd2 but dh has vetoed it both times. Maybe if we have a dd3 I will have worn him down...! I love it!

Twozealotmorethan1 Fri 26-May-17 01:02:05

Eloise! It was on our list.
Amelia is too popular for my liking.

Joffmognum Fri 26-May-17 01:09:50

My sister is called Eloise - she's 14 and has never met anyone else with that name smile

I've asked her and she really likes it. Says only issue is lack of "personalised" tat in gift shops in the UK as name isn't common enough

AppleOfMyPie Fri 26-May-17 08:48:08

Amelia is the nicer of the three

howthelightgetsin Fri 26-May-17 10:51:36

Amelia is a nice name and I normally don't worry about popularity of names but it's EVERYWHERE. There has been an Amelia in every single baby group I have gone to. Every. Single. One.

Epipgab Fri 26-May-17 19:38:28

I like Amelia and Georgia. Not keen on Eloise.

Eloise or Emilia (not keen on Amelia!). I really don't like Georgia...
