Abigail or Eleanor

I'm a nn sort of person, so would get Abi or Nel.

I slightly prefer Eleanor to Abigail, but slightly prefer Abi to Nel! Have a doubled barrelled surname that sounds like Dalton-Pike.

Eleanor by a thousand miles. It's so regal. It reminds me of porcelain and ermine and crystal and castles. Abigail makes me think of toads.

Eleanor. I prefer Nel to Abi as well. Abigail reminds me of the character in the Crucible.

headunderthecovers I was named after the character in the crucible!

I like my name though so I'd definitely vote for it :)

Abigail nn Abby (don't like the spelling "Abi").

Oh, and the Abigail in The Crucible is based on a real person: Abigail Williams.

Like Abby but not keen on Abigail. I like Eleanor but don't like any of the nns so I wouldn't shorten it at all.

Abigail. I like Eleanor, but my best friend in primary school was an Eleanor and was tormented by being called Smelly Ellie by the class bullies, I know that is awful but Abigail is less likely to have disparaging rhymes.
